Himalayan Bowls and Chanting

I have been updating this post and previous one (Vibrational Energy Balancing) on a regular basis to reflect my live Bowls/Chanting sessions, which are expanding post pandemic. It has been years since I’ve written an actual new post. Not sure why. Maybe just plain slothfulness.

This update on November 17, 2025 will be short and sweet. The pandemic is long gone in the rear view mirror and many of you reading this blog will be able to experience a live Himalayan Bowl/Chanting session at the Brown Family Environmental Center (BFEC) in Gambier, Ohio on a regular basis. I no longer offer Bowl sessions at the OSU Center for Integrative Medicine in Columbus but those sessions have been moved to the Maple Grove United Methodist Church (UMC) in Columbus. See addendum below for details.

During the pandemic, most people were not able to experience a live bowls/chanting program. At that time, I decided to start posting 20-25 minute sessions on YouTube. Because of frequent commercial interruptions on YouTube, I am now offering a direct link to the best recording of the bowls called Himalayan Bowls for Sleep. The link is:

A regular live session lasts one hour but this 28 minute shorter versions is worth a listen. The is the first audio recording using a newer microphone suspended above the bowls. This gave the recording a more pure, clear sound. Definitely the best sound of the six recordings and my choice to experience the bowls online. Please feel free to copy the link and download it on your playing device.

If you want to hear the other recordings. you can find them on my YouTube channel at Allan Bazzoli-Himalayan Bowls

The mere thought of making YouTube videos playing the Himalayan bowls and chanting was an event way outside the box for me. But by the third recording, I was happy that I went down that road. As Lewis Carroll said. “In the end, we only regret the chances we didn’t take”.

My heartfelt thanks to Sam Barone for his encouragement and exceptional technical skills. You made this possible.

Addendum: I started offering live bimonthly Himalayan Bowl/Chanting programs in May of 2022 at the Brown Family Environmental Center in Gambier, Ohio. For more information, please contact Bonnie Schutte at 740-427-5053 or schutte1@kenyon.edu or call Dr. Bazzoli’s office at 740-392-6098. The next program is Saturday January 24th, 2026 with morning and afternoon sessions.

I am no longer offering my sound program at the former OSU Center for Integrative Medicine. The CIM has moved from a wonderful Kenny Rd. location to a 3rd floor condo space in Upper Arlington and changed their name to the Center for Integrative Health.

Because of many logistical issues, I now offer my Columbus sessions at the Maple Grove UMC in Clintonville (Columbus). For more information, please E-mail bowls.chanting@gmail.com or call Chris at my office (740-392-6098). The next program will be a Saturday February 7th, 2026 with a morning session and an afternoon session if needed.

Vibrational Energy Balancing

As a Western trained physician, treating disease was the focus of most of my formal medical education.  But my real love in medicine has always been exploring different energy systems to stimulate and improve the flow of energy (Chi) throughout the body/mind/spirit pathways.  The Eastern medicine concept of treating the energy systems of the body, while still addressing lifestyle and physical issues, makes so much sense to me.

Vibrational energy balancing

Lifestyle changes such as regular exercise, a clean diet, drinking more water, much more sleep, stretching, deep breathing, being grateful, releasing old emotional trauma, time in the woods, etc. improves health in large part by stimulating energy flow in and around the body.  Clearly, energy flow is very important for good health.

The goal of the vibrational energy balancing (VEB) sessions is to use different modalities that will enhance the flow of energy along the 12 major meridians and improve the vibrational pattern of each individual.   Three modalities will be used to help balance and re-energize the body/mind/spirit pathways.  These will include playing four Himalayan singing bowls and chanting a blend of the Om chant (the universal chant) and two Tibetan chants. Fourteen acupuncture needles will be inserted in the lower arms, lower legs, forehead and one ear to help integrate and circulate the new energy.

These sessions are not intended to treat a specific illness or medical problem but rather improve energy flow on many levels throughout the body/mind/spirit matrix.  Most individuals experience a deep relaxation response and many report improvements in physical and emotional health issues.  However, these sessions are not a substitute for regular health care by a primary care physician.

Dr. Bazzoli is offering individual acupuncture sessions with the playing of four Himalayan bowls in his office in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. The cost of an acupuncture/bowl session is $75. This type of session emphasizes a general immune enhancing/energy stimulating/stress reduction acupuncture treatment.  Please call Chris at 740-392-6098 for more information or to make an appointment.
