Dr. Allan Bazzoli, M.D. has been practicing the art and science of Western Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine for more than 30 years.  He provides Acupuncture Treatments and Holistic/Preventive Medicine Counseling to his patients, as well as treating patients through his practice in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R).

Acupuncture and Holistic Medicine work with the body’s natural ability to heal.  They are complementary to most of the traditional treatments paths involving patient care.  Dr. Bazzoli will assess each patient’s medical problem(s) and use the healing modalities best suited to help improve their condition.  Many times a combination of treatments such as acupuncture and massage work better than each individually.

Dr. Bazzoli continues to stay current in the field of acupuncture, attending conferences such as the ones sponsored by the Maryland Acupuncture Society.  Two of the more recent ones include the November 2014 program titled, “Orthopedic Acupuncture:  Treatment of Common Injuries and Pain,” taught by Whitfield Reeves OMD, LAc.  This weekend seminar featured the use of advanced acupuncture techniques in the treatment of sports injuries, pain and musculoskeletal disorders.  He also attended the April 9-10, 2016 weekend program titled “Essentials and Advanced Practices in Auriculotherapy,” taught by Terry Oleson, Ph.D.  In addition, Dr. Bazzoli completed an online course taught by Cindy Black, L. Ac. covering, “The Eight Extraordinary Vessels” in February 2018.

He has been a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at The Ohio State University for over 30 years and is board certified in both Physical Medicine and Electrodiagnostic Medicine.  He is also an instructor at the Integrative Medicine Center at OSU.
